You will love this, approximately 40km driving on the beach...beautiful white sand, easy driving. You will need a 4WD ! Make sure you check the tides. Also very nice to camp on the beach. You will need to buy a permit to drive/camp on the beach.
From Noosa towards Tewantin, there you take the Tewantin vehicle ferry which will take you across the Noosa River to the North Shore, from here there is access to the beach.
Personally we cut of the point at FreshWater Rd /Freshwater camping area and drive the sandy forest trail which ends in Rainbow beach. This drive through the forest/jungle is a lot of fun! Please have a look at Google maps for details
Beach driving is best at low tide and be warned there can be exposed rock near Rainbow and soft sand and rising tides can be an issue.
