🏡 Lake Weyba Cottage – House Rules 🏡

Welcome to our cottage! We want your stay to be as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. To help us maintain a wonderful experience for all guests, we kindly ask that you follow these house rules. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated!

General House Rules
✔️ Feel at Home – Any food or drinks left for you are yours to enjoy.
✔️ Shoes Off Inside – No dirty or wet shoes inside the house, please.
✔️ Quiet Hours – Keep noise to a minimum after 10 pm to respect our neighbours.
✔️ No Smoking Indoors – Smoking inside will incur extra cleaning fees. If smoking outside, please dispose of butts safely.
✔️ Board Games & Books – We love sharing our board games and books with you. Please take care of them and leave books behind for future guests to enjoy.
✔️ Barbecue Use – Feel free to use the BBQ, but please clean it after use to avoid an extra cleaning fee.
✔️ Towels – Please do not take bath towels to the lake (they stain) or the beach. Bring your own beach towels. Old towels are in the laundry for drying pets.
✔️ Leftover Consumables – We may leave behind unopened condiments or snacks from previous guests. While we do our best to check for freshness, consumption is at your discretion.
✔️ Furniture Stays Put – Please do not rearrange furniture.
✔️ No Parties or Events – The cottage is for relaxing, not partying. Large gatherings, events, and unregistered guests are not allowed.
If extra guests arrive, they will be asked to leave.
Guests causing disturbances will be asked to vacate immediately and may be charged for additional cleaning.
✔️ Registered Guests Only – No outside visitors unless arranged beforehand.
✔️ Protect the Property –
Close the umbrella in high winds.
No cushions or blankets outside.
Use baking paper, foil, or disposable trays in the oven to prevent extra cleaning charges.
✔️ Campfire – If you’d like to use the firepit, please bring your own firewood.

Waste Disposal 
Place garbage in the green waste bin on the right side of the cottage.
Recycling goes in a sealed bag at the bottom of the front stairs – we’ll collect it.

Extra Guests
📩 If you plan to have additional guests, please text us at 0481 404 448.
💰 There is an $85 per extra guest per night charge.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Maximum capacity: 6 guests (including children).

Damages
We understand that accidents happen! If you break or damage something, please leave the equivalent amount so we can repair or replace it.

Pet Rules 🐶
🐕 The property is not fenced, and there is local wildlife. Only allow off-leash dogs if you are confident they will not chase animals.
🐶 Maximum of two pets allowed.
🚫 No pets on furniture or beds – please bring your dog’s own bedding.
🐾 Do not leave dogs inside unsupervised.

Kangaroos 🦘
Enjoy watching the local kangaroos, but remember:
🔹 Keep Your Distance – They are wild animals and can be unpredictable.
🔹 Do Not Feed Them – Human food can be harmful and may encourage aggression.
🔹 Observe Quietly – Avoid touching or approaching them to ensure both your safety and theirs.
